Nuremberg is a place that seems to be in love with its medieval past - I can see the attraction. This stroll takes you through the town, passing the great modern pieces of sculpture inspired by surprisingly modern medieval minds.
This stroll follows the main alley down to the river and up again to the castle and Albrecht Durer’s house. The Ship of Fools (Narrenschiffbrunnen) and the Marriage Carousel are two sculptures that really stand out - all inspired by medieval works.
